 Details

Three day falconry hunt for youth. Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center is a premier hunting and shooting education facility. The center boasts 6,400 acres and is managed for game species such as deer, turkey, small game, and doves. This area is centrally located in the state near Mansfield, Georgia making it easily accessible from Atlanta, Athens, and Macon. Along with many outdoor activities to enjoy on-site, the center has 28 lodge-style rooms, conference rooms, and a dining hall. The Youth Hunt and Learn program includes: a safety briefing, hunt overview, guided hunts on Saturday and Sunday, a discussion of hawk/falcon biology, habitat, behavior and equipment needed, as well as the process required to become a falconer. Care of harvested game will also be demonstrated. Participant fee: $130 per person. Youth must apply and list attending parent/guardian.
