 Details

Three-day youth turkey hunt. Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center is a premier hunting and shooting education facility. The center boasts 6,400 acres and is managed for game species such as deer, turkey, small game, and doves. This area is centrally located in the state near Mansfield, Georgia making it easily accessible from Atlanta, Athens, and Macon. Along with many outdoor activities to enjoy on-site, the center has 28 lodge-style rooms, conference rooms, and a dining hall. The Youth Hunt and Learn program includes: a safety briefing, turkey hunt overview, range time to pattern shotguns, guided hunts on Saturday and Sunday, a discussion of turkey biology, habitat, and behavior. Participants will also learn how to dress a turkey with any harvest. Participant fee is $130 per person. Youth must apply and list attending parent/guardian.
