Please be aware that Hunt & Learns are geared towards new hunters with little to no hunting experience looking for a safe, educational learning environment. Experienced hunters may apply, but preference will be given to those that fit the program criteria. If registration numbers allow, others may be considered.

Three-day deer Hunt & Learn for 6 youth hunters (10- to 16-years old) accompanied by a parent/guardian. The Deer Hunt & Learn Program includes the following: safety briefing and range time, deer hunt overview, guided hunts on Saturday and Sunday, a discussion of deer biology, habitat, and behavior. Participants will also learn how to field dress deer with any harvest. Participant fee is $200.00 per person ($400 total for youth with parent/guardian) and includes 2 nights lodging (parent and child share a room) and 5 meals (each) during the weekend at CEWC Conference Center. This hunt will run simultaneously with an adult deer Hunt & Learn.

To apply, youth hunters will need their own GA-DNR Customer Account. Parents can place their email address in the child's profile page to ensure they receive communications about the event.
